At Campcraft Outdoors, our mission has always been simple: equip individuals and families with practical skills that build confidence, capability, and resilience in an uncertain world. Today, we are proud to announce a significant expansion of our training programs with the official launch of two new instructional divisions: Homestead & Readiness Training and Defense & Combatives.
This expansion reflects the natural evolution of Campcraft Outdoors as a comprehensive preparedness and training organization, bringing together outdoor skills, household resilience, personal defense, and emergency readiness under one trusted banner.
Introducing the Homestead & Readiness Division
The Homestead & Readiness Division is designed to help individuals and families build sustainable, self-reliant lifestyles rooted in practical preparedness. These courses focus on real-world skills that strengthen the home as the first line of resilience.
Training areas include food production and preservation, off-grid resource management, emergency planning, and hands-on preparedness skills that can be applied immediately. Whether you are beginning your preparedness journey or refining existing capabilities, these courses are built to create confidence through action, not theory.
Launching the Defense & Combatives Division
The new Defense & Combatives Division delivers principle-driven, reality-based training focused on personal protection, situational awareness, and effective response under stress. Drawing from proven martial disciplines, defensive tactics, and real-world scenario training, these courses emphasize simplicity, adaptability, and functionality.
Programs include unarmed self-defense, edged-tool awareness, firearms safety and handling, and integrated defensive readiness, taught by US Martial Arts Hall of Fame Member Jason Hunt who has extensive field experience in martial disciplines. Our combatives curriculum includes globally recognized self-defense systems and training certified by Grandmaster Reylson Gracie and others, ensuring students receive instruction grounded in proven martial principles.
A Unified Approach to Readiness
With the addition of these two divisions, Campcraft Outdoors now offers a fully integrated training ecosystem that addresses preparedness from every angle, outdoor survival, medical response, homesteading, and personal defense. All programs are delivered by certified instructors who train alongside our Field School leaders and students to continually maintain standards and improve every course we offer.
